1. Overview

Golden Island Travels is committed to providing exceptional private chauffeur and tour services across Sri Lanka. This Return & Refund Policy outlines the terms under which cancellations, modifications, and refunds are processed for bookings made through our website at goldenislandtravels.com or directly via WhatsApp and email.

2. Cancellation by the Customer

Customers may cancel a confirmed booking subject to the following schedule:

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected] or via WhatsApp to +94 76 985 6605.

3. Cancellation by Golden Island Travels

In the rare event that Golden Island Travels must cancel a confirmed booking due to unforeseen circumstances (vehicle breakdown, severe weather, driver illness, or force majeure events), customers will receive a full 100% refund of all amounts paid. We will notify the customer as soon as possible and make every effort to arrange an alternative service.

4. Modifications to Bookings

Customers may request changes to their booking (dates, itinerary, vehicle type) subject to availability. Modification requests made more than 7 days before departure are accommodated at no additional charge where possible. Changes requested within 7 days of departure may incur additional costs depending on the nature of the change.

5. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days to the original payment method. Bank transfer fees or payment gateway charges are non-refundable. Refunds for payments made via PayHere will be processed in accordance with PayHere's refund procedures.

6. Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable under any circumstances: third-party bookings made on the customer's behalf (safari park entrance fees, hotel reservations, activity bookings), payment gateway processing fees, and any costs incurred due to the customer's failure to provide accurate travel information.
